This is how I feel about my life sometimes

ESPECIALLY when it comes to family.

Italians are drama.

I’ve been doing Barre 3 online classes to gain strength in my upper body and I loooooove it.

I’ve also been taking tons of pilates reformer classes.

It feels soooooooo great to be flexible and strong again.

I’ve been a pilates addict for quite some time.

Visit my homegirl Cassey for some amazing pilates workouts.

She knows her stuff.

I was at the check-out at the grocery store yesterday and they had a barrel of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pumpkins for $1 each.

Too early for Halloween candy?

Thoughts.

I feel as though it’s a tad bit early and seriously…it kinda ruins my mojo to know that I can have my fave pb pumpkins in August instead of right around Halloween.

I totally bought these shorts at A & F the other day…only they were blue… for $19.99!

Dear Lawd…worst job over.

Of course they coerced me to apply for the job by telling me that I was really pretty.

Those little sales tactics…they USED TO get me every time.

While I will miss short wearing weather…I’m ready for FALL!

The best part about fall is that I don’t have to shave my legs.

They never come out of my yoga pants/jeans…but more so yoga pants.

What can I say? I looooove comfort.

Lastly, when I was in Cali, I became obsessed w/ Alive and Radiant’s Veggie Crunch Teriyaki Greens.

However, when I returned home, I couldn’t find them at my Whole Foods or anywhere…then I learned that they were out of stock on their website as well.

I even called the people to see when they would be back in stock online…not til September!

My life is over.

But wait…thank goodness for Amazon…I have been ordering them by the case through a health foods distributor.

Yea, I’m that desperate. 🙂

4th Faves.

Let’s start this Fourth of July party early, shall we? Now, I had a recipe for you guys today, but seriously…sometimes I just want to talk about my favorite things, and leave the recipes for next week :)!
One of my favorite things is 4th of July. 
I passionately believe that you should eat ridiculous, festive looking things on the 4th of July

I mean, seriously?
Oh, and these for breakfast
because who says you can’t eat healthy on the 4th of July?
Oh, and because we like to eat cute things around here.
However, who says we can’t indulge a little on the 4th of July?
You can’t have 4th of July without alcohol.
Just don’t mix alcohol with fireworks.
That’s never a good idea.
Oh, and burgers.
Just do it.
Don’t even think about forgetting the ice cream
thats like shooting yourself in the foot with a bottle rocket.
You also need a killer festive outfit.
Just don’t go too overboard.

Cuatro de Mayo!

Happy Friday all!
Let’s talk about Cinco de Mayo one day in advance shall we? Or, two days in advance…given that I am writing this post on Thursday because by now I am up to my knees in packing boxes and am probably wishing that I had a margarita. So, I have prepared nothing for you for Cinco de Mayo, seeing as all of my kitchen tools are currently boxed up and probably won’t be used until Sunday or Monday.  Fortunately, I have a genius food blogging community filled with blogger’s who have prepared well in advanced for Cinco de Mayo. So, let’s take a look at some of the 5th of May food porn.

Forget the margaritas…I will take my alcohol in a cupcake.
Because how fun would it be to get a buzz off these? 
Um, yes please, thank you!
Oh, and what’s that? A Gin + Tonic Cake is not considered Mexican food?
Here are my justifications: 1). People every where are going to be popping bottles, corks, taking shots, and probably drinking gin + tonic because its Cinco de Mayo and we all know that is really Spanish for “let’s get hammered.” 2). Look at that freaking glaze!
Enough of that.
Let’s be a little more authentic here.
Tid-bit: Tres Leches is one of my all-time fave desserts and I actually make it pretty darn well, or so I’m told. 
Anyway, I channel my inner abuela and don’t mess around with that good stuff.
Someone hand me a fork!
When I was little I would chase down our neighborhood “La Brisa” man for the Mexican chocolate ice cream bars…but this, this is a whole notha’ level.
Notice that I am talking about Mexican desserts, and that there is no mention of black beans in my post. 
I am still food poisoned traumatized and haven’t eaten Mexican food since.
Holy Panaderia! Forgive me father, for I have sinned!
Ahhh…more sinning!
Whoa, now I need 5 of these
or six!
Who wants to come help me unpack? I guarantee a margarita and Mexican food will be had afterwards!

Easy Peas-y.

Okay, so I intended on making you what I like to call the easiest recipe on the planet…but yet, so utterly knock-your-socks off delicious. You see, I attempted to make a microwave mug cake because it is Friday after all, and after a long-hard work week, you deserve something sinful, that can be prepped in five seconds and made in two minutes. Oh, but if only I had the skills to hold my camera and shoot a photo at the same time. Let’s just say, my chocolate mug cake face-planted right into the welcome mat by my back door. I couldn’t do anything but laugh hysterically, clean off the mess, and ummm not start over again. Can you blame me? Instead, I said, screw it…it’s almost Friday and poured myself a drank. However, let me make-up for my lack of balance skills with some easy, quick, and delicious recipes to make your Friday that much easier.

You need this Peanut Butter Chocolate Mug Cake.
Oh, oh and this 5-minute Chocolate Fudge S’mores Cake
because your boss yelled at your five times for not refilling the copy machine with ink.
What? You were raiding the office refrigerator…well, actually you were hiding your homemade basil pesto chicken flat bread sandwich in the back of the fridge away from the grimy hands of your co-workers.
Oh, what’s that? Apparently it’s National Grilled Cheese Month.
I missed the memo.

Roasted Strawberry, Chocolate, and Brie Grilled Cheese…I can’t even deal.
 Oh, and the cutest married couple ever just had to go and put my favorite savory spread on a grilled cheese, oh, and crust it with my fave condiment, everrrrrr.
If you don’t have cray cray plans to go out and get bonkers tonight.
Make grilled cheese.
It’s easy.
It’s delicious.
You deserve a grilled cheese.
Because it’s Friday.
Because you should put on your fave pair of mix-match pj’s, scrunch your socks down to your ankles, and watch re-runs of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion. 
I will be doing something similar, only because I am an 80 year old trapped in a 24 year old body.
If you don’t feel like having a leisurely Friday night with your feet propped up, and would rather take your job anxiety out on something….these.
I am instantly transported back to elementary school when I had no money for ice-cream and the ice-cream lunch lady, Mrs. Gasparini, would give me free ice cream sandwiches.
I owe my life in ice-cream money.
Who wants to help me pay it off?

Friday Things.

Happy Friday all!

Cheers to the freaking weekend (yes, I did just quote a Rihanna song)! 
Let’s talk about what I’m loving right now. 
Okay, seriously loving getting my butt kicked, I mean, toning up with the Tone It Up girls for summer. 
I signed up for their free Bikini Series, so I am getting daily emails with fun, toning, workouts.
I would be a pro at this if I could just kick my sweet tooth.
Not. going. to. happen.
I am just going to blame it on the fact that I live in a food blogging world. 
I mean, seriously, Joy?
I cannot tell you how much I want my waffle iron back. It’s in storage and as soon as I get it back, I plan on making a TON of waffles. 
Who is coming over for brunch on Sunday?

No, I am not pregnant, nor will I be any time soon.
However, I am loving all of these food bloggers who are making their big baby announcements

who is expecting a little lady soon.
That baby is going to be quite the fashionista, and with the rate I am going, she will most likely be planning my wedding. Haha!
Anyway, it’s definitely baby fever in the blogging world. Congrats to all of the soon to be mommas!

Whenever I get pregnant, expect me to blow-up the blogging world.
Fun Fact: I bought a cheese board yesterday
because I am just such a fan of cheese
even though my stomach goes into shock if I eat too much.
Cheese boards just make me feel more Italian…or is it French?
Eh, who cares. More European.
It will most likely be used for blog decoration.
However, I would love to throw myself a cheese and wine party.
